About
They have a vision of a Scotland where everyone has a safe place to call home, a support network of positive relationships and the chance to fill their time with meaningful and enjoyable activity.
Services
Turning Point Scotland provide a range of services for individuals facing one or more of the following:
Learning Disability
They work to help those with a learning disability live as actively and independently as possible. They assign a support worker to form a partnership of trust between them to develop a tailored plan based on each individual's potential, a structured approach to building the confidence and life skills required to make it happen.
Alcohol and Other Drug Use
They offer a wide range of adult harm reduction and recovery focused services across Scotland. This includes assertive outreach, initial engagement, community and residential crisis and stabilisation.
Mental Health
They support people with a range of mental health and emotional conditions, and other complex needs to recover and live as independently, actively and engaged in their community as possible.
Justice
They provide residential and community engagement programmes for individuals whose criminal behaviours can lead to a pattern of re-offending as a result of underlying issues and poor life-choices.
Homelessness
Turning Point Scotland is the biggest provider of services to people experiencing or at risk of Homelessness across Scotland, delivering support to around 2000 individuals on any given day, 4500 per year. This number increases when considering individuals at risk of Homelessness where funding is provided through Justice or Alcohol and Other Drugs funding streams.
Autism
Ensure people with autism have the support to meet their own individual needs, and lead as full, independent and rewarding life as possible through our supported living and day support services.
Early Onset Dementia or Huntington’s Disease.
Provide support to people with the symptoms of the group of illnesses which cause a progressive decline in a person’s mental functioning to lead as full, independent and rewarding life as possible.
